**Position Summary**
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct loan interviews, assess the need for loan protection insurance, and approve or recommend an approval up to the maximum loan amount.
- Communicate and notify financial decision to loan applicants and third-party referrals
- Monitor team queues to ensure all files are processed within the teams Service Level Agreement
- Advise customers of the risks, consequences, and benefits of alternative lending solutions
- Underwrite refinancing opportunities for existing customers based on internal guidelines
- Other related duties as required or assigned
**Required experience, knowledge, and skills**:
- 1+ years experience in banking/finance environment
- 1+ years in Underwriting (_non-prime experience preferred_)
- Intermediate MS Office and Google Suite skills
- Typing speed above 40 wpm
- High attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- High school education or equivalent
- Open availability to work varying shifts between 8am to 9pm Monday to Friday, and 9am to 1pm on Saturdays (rotational)
