ECM is a leading technology solutions provider for our commercial and industrial clients throughout Northern Ontario.

Today we operate in 3 divisions:
**Structured Cabling** _(Etherent/Fiberoptic Installation)_;
**Automation Networks**_(I.T. specialized for large industrial clients);_and

**Partnered I.T.**_(I.T. specialized for small/medium businesses)._

We are currently seeking a **Structured Cabling **Installation Assistant **to join our team on a permanent basis.

The Structured Cabling division generally works Mon-Thurs, 10hr shifts. We project this position will receive between 3 & 4 shifts per week to meet the requirements of our on-going projects.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Install, maintain, and repair Ethernet & Fibreoptic systems for our commercial, industrial, and mining clients
- Conduct thorough inspections of cable lines to ensure the system is working correctly
- Pull, route, or label CAT5 or CAT6 cable ensuring all attended sites are clearly labelled
- Install various support structures, including cable racks, j-hooks, and other related structures
- Provide high-quality service to all customers
- Splicing, testing, and troubleshooting of fibre sites and links
- Documenting and reporting on work completed, maintaining project and safety documentation
- Locating faults and mobilizing resources within mínimal time to counter fault

**KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS**
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work in all weather conditions, confined spaces, mining environment
- Ability to work in a physically demanding atmosphere, work at heights and lift 50+ pounds
- Self-disciplined, motivated, and organized

**ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Commitment to abiding by OSHA and all other safety standards and procedures
- Valid driver’s license with clean drivers abstract
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on emergency call outs as required
- Although most work will be done in the Greater Sudbury area, willingness to travel within N. Ontario is necessary.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
