Production Line Leader

**Airfoam Industries Ltd**is an industry leader in the design and manufacturing of sustainable, budget-friendly and environmentally conscious EPS building materials, geofoam and flotation solutions.

We have seen great success at our 4 plants in Canada, and are thrilled to announce that we will be opening a 3rd shift at our site here in Surrey BC

We are searching for a skilled Machine Operator to join our team as the **Production Line Lead** to supervise the successful production of Airfoam products.

This is an exciting role that will require a growing knowledge of operations and manufacturing, and someone who is organized and able to supervise the safe operation of equipment.

The shift schedule for this position is Monday - Friday from **10:30pm - 7:00am**(overnight shift).

**DUTIES**:

- Organize and supervise the production activities as directed, on a daily basis.
- Train and oversee production employee activities.
- Supervise the operation of all production equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
- Operate the forklift in a safe and efficient manner as needed to support the movement and control of all raw, semi-finished, and finished goods materials throughout the plant.
- Ensure all documentation and records required are complete and well maintained for the work assigned.
- Review and ensure all production meets established quality standards.
- Ensure the plant operates in compliance with-in established operational procedures.
- Assist with maintenance work on equipment and machinery to support continuous and uninterrupted operation.
- Report any equipment failures or non-conformities to the Plant Manager and or Maintenance Mechanic.
- Other work-related duties and projects, as assigned.

**WHAT YOU BRING**:

- Grade 12 Diploma, or equivalent
- Valid 3rd party forklift certification required
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in demonstrated machine operation
- Minimum of one (1) year experience with employee supervision in a production environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Basic math skills, planning, organizational and record keeping skills
- Experience working within a resource planning tool (MRP system)
- Experience working within a Quality Management System, considered an asset
