Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and coordinate the work of technicians engaged in hazardous material removal and demolition operations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines, including those set by WorkSafeBC
- Develop and implement work plans and schedules to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Monitor and maintain equipment and supplies required for hazardous material removal operations.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, including daily reports, project logs, and safety inspections.
- Conduct regular safety meetings with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed and promote a culture of safety on-site.
- Ensure that all workers are wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and that it is being worn properly.
- Supervise the set up and tear down of work areas, including the installation of decontamination units and other safety equipment.
- Oversee the proper containment of asbestos and demolition waste during removal operations.
- Conduct air quality monitoring and ensure that all asbestos removal and demolition work is done in accordance with regulatory requirements and guidelines.
- Supervise the proper handling and disposal of hazardous waste materials, including asbestos and demolition waste.
- Perform visual inspections of work areas to ensure that all safety protocols are being followed and that work is being done in accordance with project plans and schedules.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in hazardous material removal, including asbestos, mould, lead, and demolition.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of technicians in the field. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines, including WorkSafeBC Regulations
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.

**Salary**: $33.00-$35.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
