Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, the Housekeeping Supervisor assists and oversees the daily operations of the department (arrival/departure/room inspections/laundry as required/VIP) and ensures that company cleanliness standards are met. This person must work closely with the front desk and maintenance department to ensure rooms are up to par for guest arrivals. As the industry is ever-changing, the responsibilities of this position will change and evolve accordingly.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist with supervising a team of employees
- Assist with training new team members
- Plan and assign tasks to team members
- Adjust schedules based on occupancy levels
- Manage stocks of cleaning products and guest supplies, put orders away as needed
- Ensure compliance with rules and procedures
- Participate in employee performance management
- Ensure the department is following the health and safety policies of Strata
- Coach, mentor and motivate team members and assist where necessary
- Inspect rooms
- Ensure excellent customer service and manage customer complaints
- Positive attitude and motivational towards team members.
- Manage the Lost and Found for the hotel/department
- Any other related tasks to ensure the quality of the department's service.
**R**equired qualifications and skills**:
- College degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Previous experience in team management or supervision
- Previous Hospitality experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle challenging situations with composure and professionalism.
- Customer service-oriented and committed to upholding the company's image.
- Ability to work under pressure and efficiently resolve issues.
- This position is primarily weekends and day shifts
The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a critical role in shaping the experience of visitors and guests, contributing to the company's image and reputation. This position requires an organized, proactive individual capable of successfully managing a team to ensure the smooth operation of the housekeeping department.
