We are currently looking to hire highly motivated, full or part time pastry cooks to join our pastry team at Agora

Pastry Cooks are responsible for baking our signature pita breads and pastry items on a daily basis for in store purchase at Agora Greek Market, catering orders and other restaurants within Mamakas Food Group.

**Compensation**: Starting at $17 per hour, weekly tip out, free health benefits package for full time employees after 3 months

**Summary of responsibilities**:

- Reporting to the Executive Pastry Chef, responsibilities and essential job requirements include but are not limited to:

- Follow recipes accurately and bake items to perfection
- Maintain proper rotation of product in all chillers to minimize wastage/spoilage
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils and equipment
- Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Previous cooking and/or baking experience
- Able to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Highly responsible and reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team and individually as required
- Ability to accurately follow recipes with no supervision

**Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to)**:

- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Complete repetitive tasks, such as rolling dough
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
- Occasional kneeling, pushing and pulling
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
