Owen & Associates is a leading consulting and brokerage firm that helps global companies establish and manage comprehensive employee benefit solutions for their Canadian businesses. We have been in business for over 22 years and have grown every year since inception. Our team currently consists of over 50 staff members in various roles, assisting over 400 corporate clients across Canada and managing partner relationships in over 150 countries worldwide.

This is a remote role with the requirement to attend the Collingwood office 4-6 times per year and potentially a virtual office 2 times per month. You are located in the Southwestern Ontario or Waterloo Region.

**Responsibilities**:

- Administer and manage French and English-speaking clients’ employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, life insurance, disability coverage, and other fringe benefits.
- Process benefits enrolments, changes, and terminations.
- Ensure accurate and timely communication of benefits information to clients’ employees in both French and English.
- Stay informed about federal and provincial regulations related to employee benefits, sharing the information with clients so they maintain government compliance.
- Prepare and distribute required benefits documentation in both French and English, such as summary plan descriptions and annual reports.
- Translation of communications from English to French.
- Serve as point of contact in both official languages for employee inquiries related to their benefits.
- Investigate and resolve issues related to benefits administration, working closely with insurance providers and other vendors.
- Maintain all client files and correspondence to comply with O&A Standards.
- Perform reviews / audit of plan members information.
- Maintain a high-touch service schedule with clients to ensure proactive initiative.
- Assist the client and employees in claim management, billing inquiries and extension of benefits coordination.
- Conduct meeting with clients and/or their employees as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of all carrier administration portals.

**Requirements**:

- Must be fluent in French reading, writing and speaking.
- Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrate flexibility in handling changing priorities and adaptability to evolving regulatory environments and organizational needs.
- Possess strong customer service skills to address client and/or employee questions, concerns, and issues related to benefits in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a professional manner both written and verbally.
- Working knowledge of Employee Benefit and Retirement Plans
- You have at least 4 years customer service experience
- You will also have at least 2 years administration experience
- Positive attitude, solution oriented and a team player
- Available to work in office (on a hybrid schedule)
- Strong Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Must clear a Background Check

**Assets**:

- Experience with employment standards, labour relations or laws
- GBA and/or working towards CEBS

$50k - $60k depending on experience
