No cross border or interprovincial runs. Making sure our drivers are safe, comfortable and equipped with right tools to do the job is important to us. Our drivers are our company ambassadors to the public and our customers As such, you will always part of the day to day conversations and planning with our customers and with our management team as our business grows

In addition to the safe operation of a commercial vehicle, you will load and unload dry bulk materials, operate hydraulic and pneumatic delivery systems and follow food safety practices. Training is provided We offer well maintained and heavy duty spec’d premium straight trucks, tractors and trailers. We take pride in our safety record as well as our fleet’s appearance, mechanical condition, and driver comfort. We offer comprehensive benefits, RRSP program and monthly performance bonus program as well as uniforms and monthly per diem for personal cell phone costs. The opportunity for DZ drivers to upgrade their license is also available

Minimum Driving Qualifications:

- Must have a minimum of two years experience driving class 8 DZ trucks or combinations with GVW greater than 4800 kgs up to 63,500 kgs.
- Must have experience hauling bulk materials in pneumatic tankers or feed trucks, hoppers bottoms, and/or end dumps.
- Must have experience and be skilled at driving manual transmissions.
- Must be experienced operating with steerable lift axles.
- Clean drivers abstract.
- Must be 25 years of age and be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Can read, write and speak the English effectively.
- Must be capable of meeting the physical demands of the job.
- Must satisfactorily complete a road test and paid training period.
- Grade 12 education.
- Familiarity/previous training with HACCP protocols an asset.
- Experience hauling bulk materials in end dumps, hopper bottoms and pneumatic trailers.
- Detail oriented and able to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics.
- Superior customer service and communication, time management & organizational skills.
- Team player with positive attitude.
- Good attendance and punctuality are a must.
- Ability to lift up to 25 kgs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Safely operate and drive tractor-trailer trucks, weighing over 4600 kg with four or more axles up to 63,500 kgs.
- Oversee all aspects of vehicles, such as condition of equipment, loading and unloading, and safety and security of cargo.
- Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle systems and equipment such as tires, lights, and brakes.
- Communicate respectfully to your colleagues, supervisors and customers.
- Maintain a clean cab interior.
- Communicate with supervisor and other drivers using smart phone and CB radio
