**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Minor electrical installation or repair such as light switches, electrical outlets, and light fixtures
- Minor plumbing installation or repair such as faucets, toilets, piping, and service of various plumbing components
- Minor repairs and adjustments to heating, cooling, ventilating and HVAC systems
- Floor and wall painting repairs and silicon caulking touch ups to any gaps
- Various hands-on tasks including carpentry, drywall, taping, mudding, and painting.
- Familiarity with and safe use of power tools and other equipment
- Cleaning and maintenance of exterior grounds, buildings, sidewalks, including snow clearing.
- Identify and report the need for major repairs
- Assess priorities with attention to detail
- Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications and Expectations**:
- Solid team player who promotes a culture of professionalism, integrity, quality and teamwork
- 1-2 years experience in construction or handyman roll
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems
- Mechanically adept and know how to safely use tools
- Strong communication and problem solving skills
- Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time along with good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination, with strong attention to detail
- Capable of following strict processes and procedure, with the ability to work with mínimal supervision quickly and accurately
- Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Grade 12 or GED
- Driver's license or reliable form of transportation
**Work Conditions**
- Monday to Friday, 8 hour shifts during the day
- Overtime as needed
- Physically demanding, repetitive and strenuous work
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
