We are searching to hire an **Academic** **Advisor** for our Brampton Campuses.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Advise students on academic and program related matters including developing academic action plans for students with academic difficulty.
- Identify the education options appropriate for each student and assist with the analysis of each option, including possible outcomes and their implications.
- Provide student with broad and comprehensive knowledge of college curriculum and course content and assists with decision-making.
- Monitor student progress, support student promotion through the program process, process appeals, Add/Drop course requests, and transfer credit documentation.
- Assist with Peer Mentoring Program.
- Assist with other administrative duties as assigned.

**Education and Qualifications/Skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree majored in education or related fields.
- Previous experience working with faculty and students in post-secondary education is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suites (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Familiar with Schoology, or similar Learning Management platforms.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and critical thinking.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in English.
- Team player with a client-centric mindset and positive attitude.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines.
