Edmonton, Canada Firefly Restaurant Full time

We are looking for 2 full-time/ part-time Line Cooks for our restaurant, Firefly, at 4208 Calgary Trail, Edmonton.

We offer an elevated casual dining experience with ample training, mentorship and leadership opportunities. If you are an experienced cook and looking to work for a newly opened restaurant with exceptional leadership in place, we want to hear from you.

**Duties**:

- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Ensure that food is prepared in a timely manner and meets customer expectations
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow proper food handling procedures and maintain proper temperature controls
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 2 years of culinary experience
- Proven experience as a line cook or similar role
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Ability to handle knives and other kitchen equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent

**Skills**:

- Cook: Proficient in cooking techniques and able to prepare a variety of dishes.
- Food preparation: Skilled in preparing ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and measuring.
- Food service: Knowledgeable about serving food to customers in a professional manner.
- Food handling: Familiar with proper food handling techniques to ensure safety and prevent contamination.
- Kitchen: Experienced in working in a kitchen environment, including using kitchen equipment and following safety protocols.
- Meal preparation: Able to follow recipes and prepare meals according to specific instructions.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00-$19.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
