**Who we are looking for**:
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Health Care Aides. As a Health Care Aide, you will play a crucial role in providing essential care and support to individuals in need. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring assistance with daily living activities.

**Some Key Duties**:

- Provide personalized assistance with daily living activities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary requirements
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Support clients in maintaining their independence and dignity
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members

**Essential Qualifications and Skills**:

- Health Care Aide Certificate
- Previous experience in patient care or caregiving is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration practices
- Familiarity with home care, assisted living or nursing home environments
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with Elders/residents
- Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation or Basic Life Support
- Hepatitis B, tetanus vaccinations and TB testing required
- Speaking and understanding Cree would be an asset

WDHA/KSF prefers the most qualified person for hire on the basis of credentials, experience, availability and other skills; and preference will be given to existing residents of Wabasca, Sandy Lake or Calling Lake, Alberta.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
