**ABOUT THE ROLE**
The CANDORA Society (CANDORA) is looking for a Job Lab Coordinator to join our Employment Centre. As the first point of contact for Employment Centre participants, you will play a crucial role in providing a welcoming and supportive environment. You will be responsible for delivering information about the Centre's programs, assisting with job search tools, coordinating intake processes, and supporting the daily operations of the Job Lab Space. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Frontline Support and Reception**
- Serve as the first point of contact for Employment Centre users, offering a welcoming and professional environment.
- Provide general information about the Centre’s programs, services, and resources, including workshops, the Jobs Club, and the Job Lab Space.
- Maintain an organized reception area, ensuring it is stocked with up-to-date pamphlets and resources.
**Intake Coordination and Participant Support**
- Conduct intake interviews with participants to assess their needs and determine eligibility for services.
- Complete intake forms and ensure accurate documentation of participant information.
- Schedule appointments with Career Counsellors or the Community Resource Worker.
- Work closely with the Community Resource Worker to connect participants with non-employment services (e.g., housing, mental health, childcare).
**Job Lab Space and Resource Support**
- Provide support with technology challenges and ensure appropriate usage of computers within the Job Lab.
- Ensure the Job Lab is well-maintained with functional equipment and access to necessary resources.
- Regularly update the Job Board with current job postings, upcoming job and resource fairs, and other employment-related opportunities.
**Administrative Responsibilities**
- Maintain accurate records of participant intake, appointments, and program participation.
- Track and report on participant engagement and program metrics for internal evaluation and funder reporting.
- Manage inventory of office supplies, workshop materials, and participant resources.
**Other Responsibilities**
- Provide information about CANDORA activities and upcoming events.
- Participate in community events and community development initiatives.
- Stay engaged in training and professional development opportunities.
- Support CANDORA-wide initiatives and program-related events as needed.
**SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, AND COMPETENCIES**
**Education and Experience**
- Proven experience in a reception, administrative, or customer service role, preferably in a community or employment services setting.
- Post-secondary education in Administration, Human Services, Social Work, Career Development, or a related field. Equivalent education, training, and/or experience will also be considered.
**Skills and Disposition**
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
- Experience in conducting interviews or assessments is an asset.
- Knowledge of local community resources and employment services is preferred.
- Proficiency in using technology, including Microsoft Office, databases, and job search tools.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
**Additional Requirements**
- Clear Police Information Check, including Vulnerable Sector, and Child and Youth Intervention Check (CYIM).
- Applicants must have legal authorization to work in Canada.
- Availability to work on-site, Monday to Friday.
- This position is not eligible for a work from home or hybrid model.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
