Servus is growing We are currently looking for an **intermediate DevOps Automation Analyst** in our **Information Services (IS) department.**
Reporting to the Senior Manager Environments and Automation your primary goal is to design and implement the Application and Infrastructure Delivery automation pipelines.
As such, the incumbent is responsible for interacting with all levels of the organization and serves a key role within the organization to leverage IS Services to meet Business needs and objectives. This role will work closely with stream members to understand requirements, prepare designs and implement work items that align with corporate goals and objectives within the scope of DevOps Automation.
In addition, this person will need to uphold and enhance processes and standards prescribed by the DevOps Automation (DA) Centre of Expertise (COE) for deployment automation and continuous delivery.
More specifically, the scope of your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Designing, building, testing, and documenting automation solutions.
- Handling multiple demands and competing priorities while ensuring deliverables are met.
- Providing work estimates as inputs into the planning process within streams.
- Maintaining automation solutions owned by DA COE.
- Possessing good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Communicate potential solutions and information as required.
- Working on development and maintenance of system documentation, help files, user manuals and guidelines.
**Requirements**:
To qualify, you will need at least the following:
- 1 to 3 years of experience and considerable skill in working through the design, development, release cycle, and delivering of software products to market.
- 1 to 3 years of experience and broad knowledge of the systems development life cycle (SDLC) and related practices and techniques.
- 1 to 2 years of experience deploying and maintaining machines in a virtual environment.
- Application build and delivery automation tools using YAML in Azure DevOps.
- Platform automation tools (Chef, Ansible or Puppet).
- Experience with Automated deployments to Azure cloud using ARM.
- Excellent understanding of DevOps and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Aware of Microsoft Office product line and opportunities.
- Aware of virtualization, PaaS and IaaS with Microsoft Azure and Windows Server.
- Aware of IP networking, network security firewalls, and load balancing.
- Post
- secondary education in computer technology or IT related discipline from an accredited institution.
