Mastering the cobalt value chain. Umicore’s expertise covers the sourcing, production and distribution of cobalt and nickel products. Umicore’s materials are at the heart of products we use every day such as rechargeable batteries, tools, paints and tires. Our recycling and refining processes give new life to cobalt and other metals and reduce environmental impacts. To meet the demands of our customers we cannot stand still. We need to find new ways to do things, discover new solutions and develop new ideas. Which is where you come in.

From an education and experience perspective, you will need:

- High School Diploma or GED
- 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate (theory only) is required.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills.
- A self-starter who can identify, prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks.
- Able to work a 12 hr rotating shift schedule
- Have a high regard for personal safety and the safety of others
- Committed to the organization demonstrating above average work ethic with a positive attitude.

This position is governed by the Umicore Canada Inc./Unifor Local 530A Local Collective Agreement.

**Salary**: From $46.40 per hour

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Fort Saskatchewan, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)

**Experience**:

- Plant Operations: 3 years (preferred)
