MEGlobal Canada ULC is hiring a Process Operations Technician to work in a highly participative, self-managed team environment at our Fort Saskatchewan site.

**Principal Responsibilities**:

- Follows Operating Discipline principles, procedures and practices to ensure safe and efficient operation of assigned plant areas.
- Operates and field checks process equipment.
- Monitor process conditions, equipment and control systems.
- Performs tasks assigned to Operations as per Master Task List (field checks, equipment preparation, equipment isolation, sample collection, EH&S tasks, etc.).
- Ensures operational activities and process performance are aligned with plant and MEGlobal business goals.
- Uses trouble shooting skills to resolve process related deviations and problems.
- When required, submits valued added work requests via SAP.
- As required, initiates, and participates in root cause investigations.
- Coaches and trains others on plant operations.
- Performs crisis response activities assigned by Crisis Response Leader.
- Fulfills Operate Plant Work Process Roles such as Crisis Response Leader, PSA Focal Point, EH&S Focal Point, Budget Focal Point, Team Assembler, Shift Engineer, Scheduler, Startup -Shutdown Coordinator, etc.
- Actively participates on site Emergency Response Team as required.
- Utilizes process knowledge and skills to make improvements in plant performance and operating discipline.
- Utilizes advanced automation tools to optimize plant operation and provides feedback on the effectiveness of the tools.
- Acts as Safe Work Permit Issuer, as authorized in unit safety standards.

**Experience & Qualifications**:

- 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate; or
- Graduate of a Chemical Engineering Technology program;
- 0-7 years of process operations experience; and
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
