We are seeking an experienced Professional Server to join our team. The position of Professional Server is responsible for providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Professional Servers must be able to exceed the expectations of guests in a fast-paced environment. Servers are responsible for providing kind, friendly and professional service, proactively managing potential issues, remaining positive and calm while under pressure, providing educated recommendations on wine and cocktails, and providing all steps of service in a timely manner.

Work, live and play in beautiful Muskoka We guarantee two days off per week in the summer, and three days off per week in the winter. Crossroads has an excellent reputation for exceptional service, and we look forward to adding another caring and experienced Professional Server to our Front of House team.

**RESPONSIBLITIES**
- Ensure section is clean, service station prepped & stocked, all candles are lit.
- Greet all guests within one minute of arrival.
- Ensure that all orders taken are written down and read back to the guest.
- Prepare and deliver all beverages in a timely manner.
- Set the pace of the guest’s experience.
- Quality check after each course within two minutes.
- Proactively manage potential issues and report all issues to dining room supervisor.
- Memorize table d’hôte each day and explain features to guests.
- Detailed understanding of dinner and wine menu. Be able to answer any questions the guests may have regarding ingredients, allergies and descriptions.
- Stay on top of side duties such as silverware polishing, glassware polishing, etc.
- Ensure proper cash handling and tip out procedures are followed.
- Cleaning and resetting tables in both your own section and others.
- Help all servers when able and operate as a team member.
- Follow all COVID-19 safety protocols.
- All servers complete closing duties and thoroughly clean restaurant each evening.
- All other duties as assigned by the supervisor and or owner.

**KEY REQUIREMENTS**
- Extensive wine, cocktail, liquor, and craft beer knowledge and the drive to continue to develop knowledge in these areas.
- Strong work ethic and desire to exceed expectations of guests.
- Ability to provide educated recommendations and upsell.
- Smart Serve Certification
- Two years experience serving in high end dining environment.
- Positive, friendly attitude.
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to excel in a team environment.
