**Job Summary**:
XL Tool is seeking a Quality Technician to join our team. As a Quality Technician, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with a team of skilled professionals. You will be responsible for measuring parts using a variety of tools and equipment, including hand measurement tools and CMM systems. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating reports and understanding complex engineering drawings and GD&T specifications.

XL Tool is a tool and die and custom machining facility that provides high-quality solutions to a diverse range of industries, including Automotive, Nuclear, and other sectors that require custom machining services. **Responsibilities**:

- Measure and inspect parts using a variety of measurement tools, including hand-held and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and understand GD&T.
- Create reports and documentation related to quality inspections.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of all measurements and data.
- Collaborate with the quality team and other departments to identify and address any quality issues.
- Audit other departments on their processes
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Post secondary education or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality inspection or technician role.
- Understanding of GD&T and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with various measurement tools, including hand-held and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Familiarity with quality-related software
- Ability to learn new software as needed
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

**Nice-to-haves**:
Experience with CAD software, including both parametric and non-parametric software

Experience with 3D scanning

Experience with designing or reverse engineering
