Mercedes-Benz Kitchener Waterloo is looking for an **Automotive Technician**
The Automotive Technician is responsible for performing mechanical repairs and maintenance to vehicles in an accurate and timely fashion, ensuring that the quality of the repair will foster long-term customer satisfaction, thereby encouraging repeat and referral business.
**Job Duties**:
- Performs repairs on vehicles as assigned.
- Performs vehicle inspections and assessments including diagnosis issues.
- Documents all work performed to Manufacturer standards and/or recommended on the repair order.
- Road tests vehicles as required.
- Ensures that customer cars are kept clean.
- Handles customer complaints immediately and according to dealership policy.Attends all training courses as requested by service management.
- Assists in training and supervising apprentice technicians.
- Shuttles vehicles into and out of service area.
- Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with company and departmental policies, procedures and standards.
- Maintains customer and company confidence by keeping information confidential and secure.
- Maintains a positive working relationship with team members and management in a team environment.
- Sets-up and organizes individual work area with designated supplies, forms and resource materials while maintaining cleanliness.
**Ideal Requirements**
- Automotive service technician trade certification to meet provincial requirements.
- Maintains all relevant Licences and Qualifications to perform duties.
- Thorough knowledge of mechanical repairs and procedures.
- Knowledge of Provincial Safety Standards concerning the performance and area of position responsibility.
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License and clean drivers abstract.
- Ability to drive manual transmission is required for this role.
- Ability to work cohesively with employees and managers as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Must be able to communicate in verbal and written English.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure with simultaneous deadlines.
- Detail oriented and excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
