**The Organization**
The Ridge Meadows Seniors Society provides health and social support services, education and recreational programs for seniors 55+ in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. **Our vision is to connect adults 55+ with a happy, healthy life.**

**The Job**

Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Facility Attendant performs tasks related to evening administration, hosting and building security at the Maple Ridge Seniors Activity Centre. The Facility Attendant must be able available to work a flexible work schedule if needed.

**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for building security including locking, unlocking doors and reporting security or maintenance issues to ensure a safe environment.
- Utilizes our YouConnect software program, makes changes as needed by activity leaders, answers routine inquiries, and provides general assistance to user groups.
- Is the designated emergency first aid attendant.
- Reports damage or abuses sustained to any part of the premises and grounds by user groups.
- Maintain inventory of coffee shop and front desk.
- Provide evening coffee and tea service as needed
- Maintains work related records and reconcile daily cash.
- Supporting volunteers, volunteer coordinator and activity coordinator as needed.
- Maintaining membership records and database.

**Qualifications and Abilities**:

- Minimum Grade 12 with one year's experience in a similar position.
- Emergency First Aid and Food Safe certificate or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation instructions, policies and procedures.
- Able to communicate effectively and maintain a positive working relationship with other staff, volunteers and members.
- Ability to make decisions and work without supervision.
- Strong computer skills
- Hours of work are Mondays and Tuesdays from 330-800pm and every other Saturday 10am-4pm_
