We’re looking for a skilled and motivated **Cook** to join our team at the Sherwood Park Curling Club Lounge. This is a **temporary position**, ideal for someone passionate about food, reliable under pressure, and committed to delivering high-quality dishes in a casual but fast-paced environment.
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum 2 years of experience cooking in a restaurant or professional kitchen
- Open availability and reliable transportation
- Proficient with kitchen equipment: flattops, fryers, ovens, meat slicers, burners, etc.
- Strong knife skills and confidence in preparing a variety of dishes
- Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills
- Able to work independently, including opening and closing the kitchen
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude
- Experience with catering prep is an asset
**Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and cook menu items to standard recipes and presentation
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and maintain cleanliness
- Assist with catering prep and service as needed
- Receive, organize, and store food deliveries
- Ensure food quality, portion control, and proper storage procedures
- Work effectively during busy periods, including handling rushes independently if required
- Collaborate with other staff to ensure smooth service
