**Position Summary**

As a General Labourer, you will be responsible to perform various job dependant tasks delegated to you by your immediate supervisor. These tasks generally include site maintenance/clean-up, operation of site equipment/tools, handling and transporting materials, and assisting other specialized workers. Each individual will usually work along side a supervised crew of experienced individuals, which will allow for ample on-site training and guidance. Strauss offers positions for both employees and independent contractors.

**Responsibilities**
- Safe operation of various equipment: Pumps, Power Tools, Skid Steers, and other Site Equipment
- Routine inspections on equipment/tools to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Participate in safety meetings and ensure required paperwork is filled out and submitted promptly
- Abide by all standard operating procedures and rules/regulations provided by the client or site HSE officer
- Accept tasks delegated by immediate supervisor and carry out each task in a safe and efficient manner
- Heavy lifting, up to 50lbs required
- Assist other Contractors on-site

**Experience and Qualifications**
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (preferred)
- ¾ or 1 ton truck (Optional - Eligible for wage increase)
- Basic Tools (Optional - Eligible for wage increase)
- Current certification in First Aid (TDG & WHMIS provided, H2S and CSO may be needed, job dependant)
- General construction, oilfield, or pipeline experience considered an asset
- Heavy lifting, up to 50lbs required
- Demonstrated focus on customer service and client satisfaction
- Demonstrated commitment to safety

**Working Conditions**
- Travel is required
- Outdoor environment, including extreme weather conditions
- Physically demanding
- Exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and chemicals
- Potential exposure to high pressure lines

**Salary**: $37.50-$55.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Night shift

Work Location: On the road
