The Opportunity: We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Cannabis Consultant who can provide excellent service to our valued customers. Location: Comox Wage: $18.00 hourly Position Type: Full-Time Working Schedule: Day, Evening, Weekends. Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Mandatory: BC Cannabis Worker Security Verification and Selling it Right. Clean Driver's Abstract and Class 5 driver's Licence Specific Skills: - Adhere to Federal, Provincial and local industry regulations. Follow all company regulations, including those for safety and security and cash handling, to ensure all employees' safety on shift. - Maintain a calm demeanour during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep the store operating to standard - Anticipate customer & business needs by constantly evaluating the environment and customers for cues by reading the room and being present in all interactions. - Accurate in all positions to control inventory. - Drive your self-development and provide continuous feedback to colleagues and Leadership Team - Contribute to a positive team environment via ongoing communication with the leadership team on ways the shop can improve. - Make all decisions on shift through the customer's lens to ensure the City Experience is achieved. Execute a "Stop, Drop & Serve" mentality at all times. - Actively seek information regarding new and existing products, producers, strains, cannabinoids, terpenes, and industry advancements. - Ensure visual standards are followed and maintained - Maintains regular and punctual attendance Additional Skills: - Experience in specialty retail or a retail environment preferred but not required - Adaptability, flexibility, a willingness to learn new things and work in all deployment positions. - Professional courtesy, can-do attitude and strong work ethic - Demonstrated commitment to creating an exceptional employee and customer experience - Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time - Ability to lift medium to large items, up to 40 pounds, while using appropriate equipment and safety techniques - Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, overnights and early mornings (if required for the role) - Languages other than English are an asset City Cannabis Co. is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
