**About the Position**

Reporting to the Controller, the Assistant Controller will manage the day-to-day accounting operations of the company. They will also assist the Controller with special projects, reporting and forecasting. This is a full-time in-office position with flexible hours.

**Duties will include**:

- Full cycle accounting
- Record non-standard transactions and monthly accruals
- Perform monthly reconciliations
- Prepare invoices and follow up on account receivables
- Approve and pay credit-cards, bills and expense reports
- File HST and EHT returns
- Compile corporate tax information
- Assist with SRED claim
- Prepare grant paperwork
- File payroll information with a payroll service and ensuring accuracy
- Prepare monthly management and forecasting reports
- Work with the Controller to prepare revenue and expense projections as well as KPI tracking
- Ad hoc projects as requested

**Requirements**:

- Obtained or pursuing CPA designation
- University degree with a specialization in accounting / finance
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience
- Financial reporting and analysis experience
- Preference: Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks as well as Microsoft Excel
- Good organization and attention to detail
- No criminal record
