_**Starforce is looking for Machine Operators (Temp to Perm) for their Client in Mississauga. We're looking for someone with at least 6 to 8 months of experience. The machine operator's responsibility is to operate the slitting machine, which includes all aspects of quality and safety.**_
- **Responsibility**:_
- To read and understand the schedule, layout and other instructions pertinent to the job at hand, paying close attention to width, code, bag positions, eyespots location, roll O.D., and other factors concerning schedule requirements including different varieties and material construction. If any requirement or factor is in doubt, check with Supervisor.
- To complete all set-ups within the estimated time. This set-up time includes the responsibility
- To ensure the machine is functioning and running at the optimum production level (machine speed) while obtaining a quality standard acceptable to customer requirements and to achieve these two functions in a manner that is not detrimental to personal health and safety or to the health and safety of any other employees. To maintain the fitness of the machine by reporting any defects or malfunctions to Supervisor as soon as possible.
- To accurately and neatly record all information required on the current Production Time Sheet which includes a proper recording of set-up time, running time, maintenance time, Material On, Material Off, and total production (No. Of sets) and part sets and to record production of different varieties
- To try, whenever possible, to keep the number of rolls to be rewound to a minimum by culling sub-standard material at slitter. If a rewind roll is to be rewound a roll ticket is to be filled out and part of the roll where suspect quality material is located is to be marked by a flag, also the reason for rewind to be entered on the roll ticket.
- To establish a good and harmonious working relationship, both physical and mental, between himself/herself and all employees, thus forming a productive team effort.

**Education, Skills & Experience required**
- Minimum High school diploma
- Experience as a machine Operator in the flexible packaging industry with experience in maintenance, housekeeping, safety, and Quality standards around the Extrusion line.
- Being a team player with the ability and willingness to learn from working as a hands-on member of a team
- Effective problem-solving skills results in orientation
- Able to remain focused and work well under pressure
- Good verbal and written English communication

**Salary**: $20.00 per hour
