**Summary**:
We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Route Supervisor to join our team. Key responsibilities include scheduling of routes, managing front line staff, ensuring timely collection of residential curb side materials in the Windsor contract area.
**What you will do**:
As a Route Supervisor your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Scheduling of routes & managing front line staff, ensuring timely collection of the residential curbside materials.
- Leading regular staff meetings ensuring clear and effective communication for selected topics.
- Attending all accidents and property damage incidents, completing investigations and all required reports.
- Completing the required roadside observations and providing feedback to employees related to the observations.
- Entering daily productivity statistics and discussing results with drivers to ensure
- Be effective at team building, while encouraging excellent customer service.
- Being the primary line of communication and contact with various levels of Municipal staff members and other external stakeholders when required.
- Providing coaching and training to direct reports, ensuring all are meeting or exceeding minimum service requirements
- Providing constructive feedback and issuing progressive discipline when required.
- Demonstrating empathy, compassion and understanding when managing employee needs.
- Leading by example by adhering to MWSI safety protocols and ensuring that safety and operational standards are being met.
- Other duties, projects and responsibilities as required, and opportunities arise.

**What you should have**:

- Previous supervisory experience, with a demonstrated ability in coaching and motivating others for effective team building and optimal performance.
- An understanding of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and your responsibilities as a supervisor within it.
- A DZ licence with a safe driving record.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral, auditory and written).
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft suite of programs.
- Familiarity with the geography of the City of Windsor and Windsor Essex County.
- Previous industry experience and with a safety-first attitude.
- Flexibility with scheduling as, some Saturday work or extended hours may be required.
