We are currently looking for a Yard Person for our Avenue Machinery - Abbotsford Branch. You will be responsible for the general yard maintenance and will assist other departments with general laborer tasks as needed. Your days will always look different

**Job Duties**
- Maintaining the yard and shop areas to keep them clean and organized at all times.
- Detailing/Cleaning/Washing equipment as requested by supervisor.
- Loading/offloading equipment & signing off on paperwork (packing slips, BOLs).
- Inspection of new units at time of arrival for damages.
- Organize equipment in the yard for easy access and as directed by the supervisor or management.
- Supply shop with new equipment/implements for assembly as requested.
- Assemble small 3pt attachments.
- Deliver units to customers on occasion.
- Support Safety standards to comply with Avenue policies and report any safety concerns.
- Audit equipment or attachment movement (MOG) carefully to ensure accuracy for tracking (Accurate paperwork and equipment inspection-incoming/outgoing).
- Operating a Forklift.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment including forklift truck.
- Forklift Certification.
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
- Attention to detail in all areas of work, having a “safety first” attitude.
- Strong work ethic, positive team attitude, and “customer first” approach.

**Work Conditions**
- Working both indoors and outdoors, and hours of work may vary as needed.
- Occasional lifting of items up to 100lbs.
- Overtime may be required.

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
