Production Supervisor

**Summary**

Reporting to the General Manager, the Production Supervisor is accountable for daily production at the facility through organization, direction, coordination and effective deployment of resources to meet production targets and quality standards. Responsibilities will include the general allocation of production activities and responsibilities on the production floor as well as day to day reallocation to address production priorities. Responsibilities also include providing direction, training of staff in production methods, safety, policies and procedures, as well as the identification and correction of potential work problems and health and safety issues.

**JOB DUTIES**

1. Work in concert with General Manager to execute daily production schedules

2. Shift work: Schedule rotates: Days 8-4pm, afternoons 4-12pm, nights 12pm-8am

3. Plant is open Monday to Friday 24 hrs. Saturday shuts down at 8:00 am restart on Monday am.

4. Supervise 5-13 employees

5. Oversee day-to-day operations of the shop floor

6. Ensure that tickets (work orders) are completed in a timely fashion

7. Maintain a safe, clean and legally compliant workplace

8. Health and Safety compliance

9. Maintain product quality

10. Address concerns and resolve problems

11. Training

12. Initiate disciplinary measures in accordance with company policy.

13. Prepare production and other reports

**Physical Requirements of the Production Supervisor**:
The primary physical requirement of this “hands on” role is walking. However, below are other primary physical requirements:

The supervisory position works mostly within the warehouse. The majority of the role involves and is dependent upon strong teamwork for the safety and efficiency of the operation. Physical Environmental Characteristics are:

**Health & Safety Requirements**:
This role is accountable for the health and safety of the production team and must ensure that all standards are followed, including wearing protective equipment. Must maintain a safe and orderly workplace and report any unsafe conditions, accidents or injuries to management.

**Essential Skill Requirements**:

- Post secondary degree, Diploma from a Technical School or equivalent production experience

- Numeracy - QC Mold measurements
- Writing - Reports, Mold Changes- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage employees
- Oral Communication - Team meetings, one-on-one coaching.
- Reading - Production documentation, SOP Manuals, etc
