**Put your expertise in the spotlight**

The specialized equipment technician will be called to support the activities related to the specialized equipment department, as well as answering to the equipment needs of the Technical Services & Studios users.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Ensuring the respectof the established procedures, norms and rules (such as human resources, healthand safety) when the technical services and studios users are working with technical equipment;
- Detecting and reporting any unsafe equipment or work practice.
- Helping the Head of specialized equipment to establish and update a preventive inspection calendar regarding all the shop’s equipment and automation’s.
- Maintaining the shop’s equipment, fulfilling the equipment demands from our users, and keeping an inventory updated.
- Assisting the head of specialized equipment in producing transport requests with our softwares, coordinating them with the rest of the team and operating machinery necessary to load ins and load outs.
- Editing and updating the lists on our sale, rental, loan and inventory web site.
- Helping the head of specialized equipment in the maintenance of the different types of motors used in the studios. Keeping your certifications and knowledge up to date;
- Assisting the other teams of technical services and studios in their activities;
- Inspecting and repairing equipment and acrobatic devices;
- Accomplishing any other related tasks;

**You possess the following professional and technical skills**:

- A diploma of collegiate studies DCS (or equivalent) in show or theater production (or equivalent work experience);
- 6 to 8 years of experience as a show technician on big productions, including 3 at Cirque du Soleil;
- Knowledge of Windows, AutoCAD, Solid Work is a plus;
- Strong organizational skills and autonomy;
- Team player with strong customer service skills;
- Ability to adapt to change and work under pressure;
- Command of written and spoken English and French;
- Available to work irregular hours;
- Ability to operate machinery like forklift and cherry picker;
