Supervisor - Childcare Centre (Rece Required)

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Communicate regularly with parents regarding the development of children.
- Report any issues or concerns that may arise in accordance with proper procedures.
- Incorporate the four (4) foundations of learning - Belonging, Well-being, Engagement, and Expression into daily programming to ensure optimal learning and healthy development of the children.
- Supervise employees to help ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Bring any employee concerns to centre owners in order to ensure company morale.
- The Supervisor will act as a positive role model for the employees in terms of following and adhering to policies and procedures, behavioural management and conflict resolution
- As Supervisor you will maintain the operations of the centre and perform administrative functions in the absence of the Supervisor. (you are expected to be able to step into the role of Supervisor and perform adequately should a vacancy become available or temporarily until the vacancy is filled).
- The Supervisor will support and complete other duties related to the position as required which is not limited to the above responsibilities and duties.
- Help maintain enrolment, numbers and ratios
- Help develop and implement program planning and daily activities.
- Provide supervision and guidance of special events, field trips, and special activities.
- Perform observations, transitions, and daily documentation.
- Lead small and large groups of children.
- Must have Food Handlers Certificate and be able to manage kitchen duties

**Qualifications**:

- Experience working with all ages groups - Infants, Toddlers and Preschoolers.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- CPR and First Aid certification (required)
- College Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (required)

**What You Bring to the Role**:

- An Early Childhood Education Degree or Diploma; registered with the CECE.
- Experience with AQI, ELECT, How Does Learning Happen, and CCEYA.
- Confident and flexible in working with all age groups (Infants to Preschool).
- Minimum of two years supervising a child care centre.
- Flexible availability from Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities and abilities to work well in stressful environments.
- Ability to manage children with challenging behaviours and communicate effectively with parents.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and have an openness to feedback.
- A caring, nurturing, positive and energetic personality.

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 - 40 per week

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Childcare Supervisor: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Registration with the CECE (required)
