**Job Summary**

As a Team Leader, you are responsible for the day-to-day operations of residential homes within Lac La Biche Disability Services and to ensure a high quality of service and life for each individual associated with or living in the home and for the direct supervision of the staff working in the home.

Primary responsibility is to ensure quality service and operational effectiveness, and to oversee and provide surveillance leadership of the services to individuals. It is expected the Team Lead will be an individual who is skilled in balancing supervisory responsibilities with hands-on care and supports to the individuals in service. Further, as a front line supervisor you will foster an environment of accountability, excellence, and collaboration.

**Job Type / Category**

We offer a variety of schedules however, for this particular position we are seeking someone that's available temporarily until December 31, 2025. 40 hours per week between Monday-Friday. Pay and Hours negotiable. Position will remain open until a suitable person is found.

**Required Education, Skills and Qualifications**

A positive attitude and belief that persons with disabilities have the right and responsibility to define and pursue their life choices, and pursue active participation and involvement in the community. An understanding of the opportunities and options available to persons with disabilities; plus, demonstrated cultural and ethnic sensitivity. Ability to provide skilled direct frontline support to individuals. A particular understanding of planning, development and delivery of services for persons with disabilities, and the political environment in which these services are delivered. Demonstrated supervisory leadership, team-building, communication and related skills and aptitudes, including basic coaching and mentoring skills, and the ability to employ minor conflict resolution techniques. Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-orientated work environment.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 2 years of progressive experience is community disability services. First Aid/CPR. A valid driver’s license, clean drivers abstract, and use of a clean vehicle in good working order is required. Willing to be trained in Foundations in Community Disability Studies, Medication Administration, Abuse Prevention and Response Protocol, Positive Behavior supports, FOIP, Universal Precautions, Safe Bathing, Food Safety and MANDT. Relevant post-secondary certificate or Disability Certificate would be considered an asset, however not required.
