**Job Summary**
The Education Coordinator is responsible for, and the primary resource for, administering, implementing, coordinating and supporting the Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM), residency programs, which includes the member sites in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick as well as other related programs as assigned by the Education Manager. The Education Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the Education Manager, Program Directors, Education Director, Simulation Coordinator and the Chief Operating Officer. The Education Coordinator must maintain a strong working knowledge of the Department and pertinent university/hospital policies and procedures in order to communicate/liaise with students, residents, physicians, and staff at the different member sites and Dalhousie University.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design and manage annual clinical resident rotation schedules; ensure educational coordination between attending physicians, residents, medical students and institutional and regulatory administrative offices.
- Review and assess problems and/or complaints received from program participants, resolve administrative problems, as appropriate, and/or refer problems to Program Director for resolution.
- Assist the Program Director with curriculum development, providing program feedback and, as appropriate, assisting in developing new program components.
- Coordinate educational sessions/lectures between Halifax and affiliated learning sites.
- Arrange, develop and provide residents with rotation material prior to the start of their rotation, meeting the requirements of the Department of Emergency Medicine policies and procedures.
- Provide general administrative support to the Education Director including coordinating meetings, taking minutes and following up on action items; transcribing and entering data; and tracking program finance details.
**Note**
The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.

**Required Qualifications**
- Business/Administrative Program with a minimum of five years related work experience (or equivalent combination of training and experience).
- Proficient computer skills (Office, Access, Outlook).
- Must have demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
