Working under our landscape construction superintendent and foreman your requirements and responsibilities will include:
**Requirements**
- Must have a minimum of 3 years experience operating landscape construction equipment and installing hard and soft landscaping.
- Able to operate skid steer, excavator, backhoe and loader.
- Team player.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Must be ale to work with deadlines while maintaining good attention to detail.
- Landscape diploma or certification is an asset.
- Must have own transportation.
- Valid Class “G” Drivers License. (DZ License would be an asset.)
**Responsibilities**
- Ensure all work is completed to Canadian Landscape Standards.
- Responsible for assisting the foreman in the daily completion and quality of all activities and tasks.
- Maintain electronic logs for all equipment checks daily.
- Execute all areas of commercial and residential landscape constructions projects.
- Able to operate Laser/Transit to take elevations.
- Basic maintenance on equipment and machinery.
- Complete daily electronic log and time sheets.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Work in a way that will not endanger yourself or others.
- Understand the hazards associated with tasks and controls in place.
- Conduct Pre-job Safety Assessment (PSA) daily, and weekly toolbox safety talk.
- Use equipment, protective devices and clothing based on legislation, and Davis Landscaping safe work practices and safe job procedures.
- Report all incidents, unsafe conditions, and unidentified hazard to your supervisor.
- Ensure pre-use inspections for equipment are completed prior to using the equipment
- Do not remove or interfere with any safeguards.
- WHMIS, 4 Step Health & Safety Awareness, Workplace Violence & Harassment for Workers, and AODA is an asset or training will be provided.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety policies.
This is a full-time position.
References Required
