**JOB SUMMARY**

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Electromechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing and servicing the company's industrial production equipment in a safe and efficient manner You will provide support to production, quality and engineering. You will also be involved in various machine improvement and automation projects.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Equipment troubleshooting**:

- Diagnose, locate and repair breakdowns on production, packaging and distribution equipment and tools.
- Disassemble and mechanically assemble machines according to drawings and work instructions.
- Test machines and observe their electrical, electronic and mechanical components using test and measurement devices.
- Perform work safely and with respect for co-workers.
- Complete management and control reports specific to the maintenance department.
- Make minor repairs to infrastructure, buildings or tools.

**Preventive maintenance**
- Analyze, identify and correct recurring problems on equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and infrastructure (e.g., lubrication, replacement of defective parts, usage checks).

**Machine Improvement Project**:

- Modify and improve existing equipment to increase performance.
- Assist the engineering and quality control team in maintaining the quality of the components produced.
- Participate in various control, automation and robotization projects.
- Assist the engineering team:

- install, start-up and upgrade equipment.
- optimize or create efficient workstations and work methods.

**REQUIREMENTS, QUALITIES AND SKILLS REQUIRED**
- DEP in electromechanics, DEP in industrial mechanics or related diploma.
- At least 5 years’ relevant experience in a similar role.
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Versatility and resourcefulness.
- Ability to learn and solve problems.
- Good verbal and written communication in French.
- Concern for quality and a job well done.
- Focus on health and safety at work.
- Good physical condition.
- Written comprehension of English - reading of technical documentation.
- Hold a driver's license - travel required between our two Laval plants.
- Knowledge of or strong interest in robotization (asset).
- Knowledge of welding (an asset).
- Qualification certificates related to the position, such as gas cards or electrical license (an asset).
