**LOGISTICS COORDINATOR**
Reporting to the Manager, B2B Operations & Inbound Logistics, the logistics coordinator supports the Import Specialists, ensuring that all merchandise is distributed within the prescribed timeframes and in respect of the most economic and efficient customs clearance and transportation processes.
**RESPONSABILITIES**:
- Communicate and collaborates with internal teams (merchandising, production) regarding
- status of deliveries, delivery flow, potential quality control issues etc.;
- Reviews tracking and status reports of shipments;
- Coordinate departures and arrivals and monitors the containers (track & trace) in order to maximize the logístical efficiency of the distribution center;
- Ensure rigorous follow-up with suppliers regarding non-compliant shipments;
- Communicate with our customs and maritime transport brokers in order to ensure optimum planning and negotiation of the best rates;
- Verify that all related expenses are met to ensure that the estimated cost of landing for each order is accurate so that budgets are correctly updated
- Review transport invoices to ensure compliance with the negotiated agreements;
- Process all change requests to ensure system compliance and accuracy;
- Provide regular reporting to internal stakeholders, as required;
- Approve daily sailing bookings and issue paperwork for courier shipments;
- Act as a backup to the Import specialist when required (vacation coverage, absences); by coordinating with suppliers and maritime transport brokers, administering supplier’s records with regards to certificates of origin;
- Any other related tasks.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Post-secondary education, preferably in supply chain or logistics;
- 3-5 years of experience in imports, in a similar role;
- Solutions-oriented and adaptable;
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to details;
- Proven ability efficient planning and analysis;
- Ability to handle shifting deadlines and priorities;
- Ability to solve multiple problems;
- Demonstrated autonomy and judgement;
- Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook;
- Ability to communicate effectively and succinctly, in both French and English (spoken and written)
