**Position**: Facilities Maintenance Assistant

**Reports To**:Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

**Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000 Full time**

Full-time on-site hours May 1 - November 1, variable on-site hours November 2 - April 30.

**Position Summary**:The Facilities Maintenance Assistant assists with all aspects of facilities maintenance at Muskoka Lakes Golf & Country Club, ensuring the efficient operation, upkeep, and improvement of Club facilities. This role requires strong **hands-on** facility maintenance practices. The Facilities Maintenance Assistant plays a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and aesthetics throughout the Club’s facilities, contributing to exceptional Member and guest experiences.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Facilities Maintenance Management**:

- Assist with the maintenance and repair of all Club facilities, including Clubhouse, Pro shop and Lillywood, Court House, Dining areas, Staff House, Restrooms, and recreational amenities.
- Assist with the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and protocols to ensure that all facilities are well-maintained, clean, and operational at all times.
- Assist with the oversight of contracted services for specialized maintenance tasks, such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.

**Equipment and Asset Management**:

- Manage inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage.
- Conduct regular inspections of Club facilities to identify maintenance needs and prioritize repair or replacement efforts.

**Staff Leadership and Development**:

- Provide guidance, and support to facilities maintenance staff to ensure high-quality workmanship and professionalism.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, communication, and accountability among maintenance team Members.

**Financial Management**:

- Optimize resource allocation to meet budgetary targets while maintaining high standards of quality and service.

**Compliance and Risk Management**:

- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, building codes, and environmental guidelines in facilities maintenance activities.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective measures.
- All other tasks as required.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance. Experience in a supervisory role an asset.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical and carpentry an asset
- Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, and work effectively as a team
- Familiarity with relevant software and technology for facilities management.
- Valid Ontario Drivers License
- Working at heights training an asset
- Ability to work independently
- Be able to work in an outdoor environment and lift up to 50lb’s
- Living within close proximity to property an asset
- Available weekends and evenings
