**Job Overview**

As a Personal Support Worker (PSW), you will be working with individuals and assisting with providing care, companionship services, and overall health and wellness support to them. This could include meal preparation, transportation services, health services, and more as needed by the individual. Working as a PSW with Harmony Homecare, you will provide people with the best of service that continues them to live at home while maintaining their freedom and dignity.

Education/Credentials
- Ontario College Certificate of 2 year or more in personal support ara, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or a program equivalent
- CPR Certificate
- First Aid Certificate

Experience Level
- Minimum of 2 years

Work Setting
- Clients home for long periods of time
- Staying overnight with the client as needed from 10pm to 10am (your own room and space is provided - premium pay is given for this)
- Urban areas/Rural areas
- Travel may be required with client(s)
- Willing to travel within the Parry Sound Region with the client

**Responsibilities**

Tasks
- Administer bedside and personal care
- Administer medications
- Assist clients in water (i.e. pool)
- Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
- Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
- Assume full responsibility for the household (in the absence of the householder)
- Change non-sterile dressings
- Collect specimens
- Launder clothing and household linens
- Mend clothing and linens
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Provide companionship
- Provide personal care
- Shop for food and household supplies
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals
- Cook
