Nanaimo, Canada CIPS Landscaping Full time

The Landscape Manager is the main point of contact for our Maintenance Teams and the person responsible for the performance management of each member of their team (1-4 people). Familiarity with Google Workspace will be an asset. Key skills include:

- Time management
- A high degree of professionalism
- Clear communication (written and verbal) and,
- Adaptability

A minimum of 1 - 3 years of landscaping experience is an asset, as well as mechanical knowledge of common landscaping mobile equipment, such as zero-turn mowers and push mowers. Further assets include a valid Class 5 license with a clean driving record, the ability to drive with a trailer, and access to a reliable vehicle to attend our yard off Jingle Pot.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

- Delegate the day’s tasks and assignments to the team
- Have equipment and trucks prepped in advance
- Strategize and action Scope of Work for commercial properties on a weekly basis
- Maintain daily logs, checklists, and reports
- Train when needed; make note of any areas for improvement in the team and proactively plan solutions
- Develop and maintain digital libraries of work performed (photo albums, reports, etc.)
- Manage inventory levels of necessary materials (fertilizer, lime, etc.) and request more when needed
- Assist in regular workplace inspections and safety meetings
- Assist team in performing job tasks

This is a contract position until the end of November. Pay is based on experience and will be between $25 and $35 per hour, with expected hours of 35 to 40 a week.
