**Job Summary**

Guldmann is a rapidly growing company across Canada in the medical devices industry. Globally headquartered in Denmark, and operating for 44 years, we are the innovative leader in our industry of patient lift systems. We interact daily with hospitals, long term care facilities, clinical staff, purchasing groups, architects, and construction companies Guldmann is seeing to hire an installer that will participate in completing our current ongoing projects initially, and potentially lead our installation crew in the future.

At the current time, this position is an hourly position, with a high probability of converting into a full time permanent position with Guldmann, with full benefits.

**General Qualifications**
- Background in building construction would be an asset
- Experience in carpentry, assembly, and/or electrical equipment installation is desirable
- Exposure to different structure types (concrete, steel, wood, etc.) would be an asset
- Exposure to ‘Patient Lift systems’ in healthcare facilities would be an asset
- Knowledge and experience in construction, building and hardware installations, electro-mechanical systems and devices
- Troubleshooting and repair of electro-mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and room layouts
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to assemble hardware & components
- Previous leadership/supervisory experience would be an asset, but not mandatory
- Must be willing and able to travel throughout Canada and work out of town for periods up to 3 weeks out of the month.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and supply a clean drivers abstract
- **The main responsibilities for this position include**:

- Responsible for complete on-site installations, commissioning and coordination of patient lift systems.
- Receiving and organizing materials at customer sites and Guldmann warehouses
- Coordinate installations with Project Coordinator/Manager
- Supervise, train and ensure the safety of assistant Installers
- Cut, drill, assemble and install all lift system components as required by Guldmann installation procedures and techniques
- Load tests the installed track and tests operation of lift equipment
- Organize removal of equipment and tools when installation work is complete
- Complete the appropriate documentation upon completion of installation and testing, ensuring all paperwork is submitted in a timely manner
- Work in coordination with the local Project Manager to organize and plan installation trips out of town
- Liaise with the project manager to advise of daily site progress and work though any issues encountered
