Rail Cantech is looking for professionals to join our construction teams for Transit Projects in Ontario and Quebec.

**Key Responsibilities**

Rail Cantech is looking for a Track Labour to:

- Embrace the company’s safety and quality of work culture and adhere to the federal, provincial and company policies and procedures at all times;
- Ensure that yourself, other company employees, our clients and the general public enjoy a safe working environment;
- Participate in daily job briefings to review production goals, provide performance feedback, identify safety hazards and milestones;
- Perform moderate to heavy physical labour constructing and maintaining track infrastructure. Duties can include replacing and repairing various track components including rails, railway ties, ballast stone, fences, adjusting the alignment and the surface of the track, vegetation control and snow removal;
- Operate railway construction tools and equipment, as per qualification and training;
**Qualifications and Skills**

**Training & experience**:

- Valid drivers license G (for Ontario) and good driving record;
- Work experience as a track labour, track welder or machine operator are an asset;
- Valid Canadian Railway Operating Rules (CROR) and Track inspection Guidelines (TIG) certifications are an asset (training will be provided if certificate is expired);
- Work unsupervised and in teams with other coworkers;
- Must be able to lift approximately 60lbs and Work outdoors in various weather conditions;
- Ability to understand and follow safety rules, policies, procedures and regulations;
- Effective communications skills with coworkers and superiors;
- Some travel away from home is required, rotating shifts, overtime, weekends and some night work;
