**Mobile RV Technician**

The RV Technician opening position is located 45 Treaty Trail, Millbrook, Nova Scotia. Leisure Days RV Sales is a subsidiary company of Leisure Days RV Group.
**Overall**
As a Mobile RV Technician you will be performing pre-delivery inspections, accurately diagnosing, and repairing a variety of technical issues, inspecting, and adjusting, or overhaul recreational vehicles and travel trailers - mostly in the field. You will be providing service work to our on-site seasonal clients.
You will be responsible for maintaining a clean work environment, participating in training, assisting co-workers, completing jobs with efficiency and other tasks as required.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Examine/troubleshoot and diagnose units needing repair and maintenance.
- Discuss repairs and communicate additional requests with the shop foreman and RV service advisor.
- Provide plan work procedures and labor time estimates to the RV service advisor and shop foreman.
- Install/repair and maintain interior and exterior components on motorhomes, travel trailers, and fifth wheel trailers such as roof, siding, windows, doors, awnings, vents, floor cabinets, counters, plumbing systems, electrical systems, propane gas systems, batteries and charging systems, body, and structural components
- Installation of accessories, perform pre-delivery inspections, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance on propane gas and electric appliances - furnace, refrigerator, water heaters, and A/C units.
- Use of testing equipment / troubleshooting techniques / manufacturers specs and internet websites
- Monitor repair time and update RV service advisor regularly.
- Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on RV care and operation.
- Complete story and/or documentation for client repairs
- Attend company and factory training and keep current with factory technical bulletins.
- Understand and follow federal, provincial, and local regulations (such as disposal of hazardous waste)
**Qualifications and Skill Set Requirements**
- Good manual dexterity and balance while working off the ground.
- Work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
- Like working with your hands and enjoy learning new skills and knowledge.
- Pride in workmanship and desire to attain a superior level of service.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow procedures.
- Motivated team player, energetic and enthusiastic
- Ability to periodically lift more than 25 kilograms.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude - problem solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Attention to detail, neat and orderly, general good health, and physical ability.
- Previous RV technician experience required, and forklift experience considered an asset.
- RV Technician: minimum 2 to 3 year.
- Propane License or RV1 or RV2 License required.
- Journeyman preferred.
**Education**
- High school diploma or GED (general equivalency diploma); or 6 months to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Driver's License and Technician Certification are desirable.
