We’re looking for a motivated Program Coordinator to join our team this summer This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event coordination, community engagement, and business development while supporting local startups and innovators.
**Position Summary**
As a Program Coordinator, you will assist with organizing events, supporting program delivery, and helping local entrepreneurs succeed. This includes coordinating program sessions, working with mentors and experts, and providing general administrative support.
You’ll work closely with our team to help ensure a successful summer of programming
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist with organizing and delivering in-person and virtual events, workshops, and mentorship sessions
- Support onboarding and communication with program participants
- Help create and distribute program materials and resources
- Assist with tracking participant progress and gathering feedback
- Help maintain records and data in our systems
- Support the Programs Team with social media presence by capturing content at events and contributing to posting and engagement
- Support outreach efforts, including social media and event promotion
- Represent the Innovation Cluster at events and community activities
**What We’re Looking For**
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred)
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Comfortable with tools like Google Suite, Zoom, and social media platforms
- Interest in entrepreneurship, innovation, or economic development
- A team player who is proactive and eager to learn
- Availability for occasional evening events (approx. once per week)
- Valid G Class License is an asset
- Access to reliable transportation within the region is an asset
**Eligibility Requirements**
- Be **between 15 and 30 years of age** at the beginning of the employment period
- Be a **Canadian citizen, permanent resident**, and
- Have a **valid Social Insurance Number** at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
**Position Details**
- Duration: Summer - June 2nd 2025 to July 31st 2025
- Wage: $19/hour
- Hours: Full-time, 35 hours/week 8:30am to 4:30pm
- Location: Peterborough, ON (some local travel may be required)
**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2 months
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
