Position Description:

- As the Community Partner Outreach Manager, you will lead Serco’s Community Outreach Strategy, providing leadership and supporting the network in establishing and maintaining relationships with key community partners and businesses that will ensure that job seekers in the are provided with appropriate community referrals and relevant job opportunities.

You will build strong, collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates. You will work with External Stakeholders, providing performance updates at review meetings and partnership meetings.

As the world experiences significant workforce shortages in all sectors which are further exasperated by the ongoing pandemic, now more than ever employment service play a vital part in rebuilding the economy. As a key member of Serco’s Employment Services team, you will build key relationships that will support community job seekers and businesses.

As the Community Outreach Manager, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that works closely with the Ministry, Serco Consortium, other Serco teams and Service Delivery Partners to deliver quality employment services to Ontarians.

Qualifications:

The Serco Consortium is made up of Serco, Deloitte, Thrive Career Wellness and our NFP Partners, Corbrook, Springboard and Canadian Council on Rehabilitation and Work (CCRW).

In this role, you will:

- Develop and implement the Community Outreach Strategy, including marketing, to engage employers, business groups, education & skills training providers, participants, municipalities, local labour/skills planning boards, SDPs, customer.
- Coordinate activities to align with Serco’s strategy wherever possible.
- Source high volume employment opportunities aligned to meet participant needs and aspirations and according to growth sectors.
- Develop key employer partnerships to maintain a flow of employment opportunities for participants.
- Monitor economic and employment news, trends and feedback to provide advice and adjustments to Serco strategy and operations.
- Identify possible initiatives.
- Undertake such additional duties as may be reasonably required, commensurate with the level of responsibility within the area.

- Qualifications:

- Detailed understanding of Ontario employment support programs and the employability sector. Experience in other jurisdictions will be considered.
- Demonstrable understanding of the education and skills training sectors, their market opportunities and key organizations.
- Experience operating in a multi-stakeholder environment.
- Politically incisive in communicating effectively with customers, sector stakeholders and partners
- Post Secondary Education in a related field.
- Highly skilled in relationship development.
- Thorough understanding of all aspects of operational safety, environmental and security/confidentiality issues.
- Must be able to Pass Criminal Record Check (CPIC); Fingerprint Criminal Record Check.
