RJS Construction Ltd. is a **Commercial General Contracting Company** in Surrey servicing clients in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. **Size and Types of Projects**:
Small to medium projects
- $100,000 - $10,000,000

Commercial, Light industrial, Institutional.
- Tenant improvements
- Structural upgrades
- Remediations
- Renovations

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Manage site production safely, on schedule, and on budget.
- Manage and coordinate on site construction plans including scheduling, site staff, sub trades, on site activities and logistics.
- Supervise and mentor site personnel.
- Demonstrate and promote company values.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with staff, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.

**Experience requirements**:

- Must have experience in managing **commercial projects.**
- Have a minimum of 6 years’ experience in the construction industry as a Site Superintendent with knowledge and experience with the BC Building Codes.
- Experience in managing full cycle projects in similar areas of construction.
- Proven experience as a successful supervisor and leader of others.
- Be a hard-working, organized, team leader with strong decision-making skills.
- Hands on Supervisor with Carpentry background and experience.
- Sound knowledge of construction and building techniques and codes in B.C.
- Sound knowledge of procedures, methods, conditions, and documents related to building in BC.
- Can read and interpret scopes of work, contract documents, drawings, schedules, and specifications.
- Be a proactive problem-solver that can manage difficult situations with positive results.
- Demonstrate competence in the areas of safety, people management and project execution.
- Ensure high standards of ethics, integrity, and team spirit.
- Can communicate well with a team that includes staff, trades, consultants, and clients in a clear and professional manner.
- Is adaptable to change and a variety of work.
- Proficiency in Procore, Microsoft office and Outlook is a benefit.
- Have a reliable pick-up truck for transportation and a valid BC driver’s license.
