High River, Canada The Dining Car at High River Station Full time

We’re looking for a positive and creative professional who works hard and is excited by the opportunity to help develop a distinct tourist destination. This part-time position is dayside oriented and may include occasional weekend days. The opportunity is for approx. 24 hours per week to supplement kitchen staff rising to 40 hours per week during the summer season. Occasional early or late and additional shifting may be required to accommodate dinner service, catering, special events and vacation relief.

**Responsibilities**

Prepare and plate meals for a high volume kitchen servicing 30 - 50 seats

Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations

Assist in ordering, maintaining and organizing inventory

Prepare MEP/Prep for ongoing daily operations and special events/catering

Provide occasional vacation relief for staff as required

Provide occasional early/late shift support for special events as required

Daily cleaning, preventative maintenance and identifying repairs

Additional duties as assigned

**Experience and Skills**

You have 3+ years of culinary experience with breakfast and lunch service and possess the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. You will have Food, Sanitation and Hygiene certification and be aware and attentive to all food allergies, sensitivities and preferences. You maintain a positive and professional attitude towards your coworkers at all times and love to cook.
