Geomatics Survey Assistant Co-op Student

**Role description**:
Our Edmonton office is looking for a Co-op student from the Geomatics Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology program to support our team with field survey duties within Edmonton and surrounding areas. The following student position is open to students registered in a Canadian University or College program in Geomatics Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology.

**Role accountabilities**:

- Assist the Survey Crew Chief in their daily field work activitiesPerform physical duties such as walking long distances over various terrain surfaces, operating a shovel, swinging a 5lb and 12lb sledgehammer to instal lath, nails and 90cm long iron posts, carrying and lifting up to 50lbs of equipment repeatedly during the course of the day.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- 1st or 2nd year completed of the Geomatics Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology Program
- Past field experience is an asset but not required
- Able to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft office programs
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be able to provide their own transportation to and from project construction sites (not readily available by public transit)

The salary range for this position is $20-33/hour. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
