Survey AssistantIntegrated Geomatics Inc. (IGI) is currently seeking a Survey Assistant to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. IGI supports client development by integrating survey and environmental services with GIS mapping and design. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate in geomatics technology or someone who enjoys working outdoors.We offer:Wage $20-$28 per hourComprehensive benefitsProfessional development opportunitiesSupportive team environment with a strong safety cultureIf you meet the qualifications below and are ready to advance your career, we encourage you to apply.Key Responsibilities:Arrive on time and prepared for assigned tasks and shifts as directed by the Field Crew Coordinator.Foster a positive and professional team environment and represent IGI respectfully in all interactions with clients, contractors, and the public.Assist with organizing and maintaining tools, equipment, and materials at project sites, in the office, and in crew vehicles.Support the Crew Chief in meeting project timelines and deliverables.Participate in safety training and demonstrate competent use of survey-related equipment and vehicles.Comply with client safety protocols, Alberta OH&S regulations, and IGI’s Integrated Safety Program.Contribute to safety planning activities including emergency response planning, hazard assessments, job safety analyses, and daily tailgate meetings.Qualifications & Attributes:Diploma or degree in Geomatics Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related discipline is considered an asset.Previous experience in surveying or outdoor fieldwork is preferred.Strong communication skills and the ability to follow direction effectively.Familiarity with survey methodologies is an asset.Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook); experience with AutoCAD is an asset.Willingness to travel and work flexible hours based on project needs.Adaptable and solution-oriented mindset.This is a safety-sensitive position requiring valid safety certifications (H2S, First Aid, CPR).Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and a clean driver’s abstract.
