Something New Creative is seeking a **Media Strategist & Writer** who can bring our ideas, projects, and creative philosophy to life through powerful storytelling. This freelance role is ideal for someone who understands how to turn visionary concepts into engaging narratives—and who also knows how to get those stories seen.
From writing feature articles and creative copy to crafting pitches and managing social storytelling, this role is about shaping the way our studio is understood in the world.

**What You'll Do**:
- Shape and tell the stories behind our work—turning projects, people, and ideas into memorable editorial narratives.
- Develop articles, interviews, and creative content that elevates our brand’s voice and point of view.
- Translate immersive, often abstract concepts into clear, resonant stories for a wide audience.
- Build thoughtful media pitches and contribute to earned coverage by identifying timely, relevant angles.
- Collaborate closely with our creative team to support brand messaging and campaign storytelling.
- Curate and manage our presence on LinkedIn and Instagram, using content to reinforce narrative consistency and voice.
- Write and refine copy for decks, websites, and media kits that reflect both strategic clarity and creative flair.
**What You Bring**:
- 3+ years of professional writing experience, with strong samples in culture, hospitality, design, or the creative industries.
- A storyteller’s intuition with a strategist’s mindset—able to write meaningfully and position content for impact.
- Versatility in tone and format: from editorial to social, from longform to concise.
- Experience working independently, managing deadlines, and communicating in a remote environment.
- A natural curiosity for how stories shape perception—and a passion for creativity, culture, and innovation.
**Contract Details**:
- Freelance role (initial 3-month contract with opportunity to extend)
