As a Depot Repair Technician with us you will be responsible for maintenance and repairs on the latest medical instruments and devices that could help save a patient’s life. We will train you on how to restore medical devices used in surgeries and procedures. As technology is ever-changing so are medical instruments and devices. **What will you do**:

- Provide repair, maintenance, and reconditioning of surgical instruments, sterilization containers, positioning equipment, and other instruments
- Completes ultrasonic cleaning, welding, buff and polish, sharpening, bending, shaping, hinge points, serrations and brazing of stainless-steel instruments and equipment.
- Provide service, maintenance, and reconditioning on electronic, electromechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic based systems and subsystems manufactured by Steris or other
- Completes detailed preventative and calibration service procedures to complete corrective and preventative maintenance on assigned systems and subsystems
- Occasionally provides field service at customer sites to install, evaluate, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and/or complete quality performance and testing procedures on assigned equipment.
- Maintains proficiency in the use of test, calibration, and machining tools, such as sand blast unit, buffers, grinders, hand torch, Dremel, microscope, and other hand and stationary tools/machines.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, and customer-oriented behaviours
- Provides technical and operational phone support for customers and occasionally on-site for Customers, sales demonstrations, and tradeshows
- Complete all service documentation and administrative reporting and duties including timesheets, expense reports, work orders, and documents as assigned

**What do you need**:

- Diploma or certificate from an accredited institute (preference: mechanical, machinist, electro-mechanical, electronics) or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent mechanical, electronic, and electrical skills and knowledge.
- Effective use of technical knowledge and experience to evaluate, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, recondition medical and surgical instrumentation and equipment to specified quality performance standards.
- Communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Valid driver’s license
- Must have a valid passport for international travel (i.e., USA)
