We are looking for individuals who have the technical expertise to repair instruments, provide excellent customer support and love working with a large team of repair technicians. As a Band Instrument Repair Technician at Cosmo Music, you will perform thorough estimates and provide professional repair services on various woodwind and brass instruments. From routine set-ups and cleanings to detailed restorations, you'll be working on a wide range of instruments and continuously developing your skills in a fun and energetic workplace. **Responsibilities**: - Set-up, clean and repair woodwind and brass instruments. - Perform routine maintenance. - Inspect instruments to identify repair needs. - Provide accurate estimates for instrument repairs. - Work efficiently within estimated cost and time frames. - Repair or replace defective or worn-out parts and components using hand, power or specially designed tools - Handle both customer-owned and retail instruments with care. - Conduct tests and make necessary adjustments to repaired products to ensure proper functionality. - Ensure that your work is of excellent quality, reflecting the passion and dedication of our team. **Requirements & Qualifications**: - Diploma from an accredited repair school - Ability to solder, braze, remove dents, align and adjust instruments - Familiar with ultrasonic cleaning equipment and process - Ability to use a lathe, buffing machines, drill press and milling machine - Ability to work under pressure with a positive attitude. - Strong multitasking and time management skills - Physical ability to lift, push, and pull instruments and cases up to 75 pounds, **Cosmo Music "Ideal" Team-Player**: - Passionate about creating amazing customer experiences by supporting their musical needs. - Demonstrates a strong work ethic and sense of urgency. - Obsesses over the Details: Pays attention to the finer points. - Drives Continuous Improvement: Always striving for effectiveness, efficiency and integrity. - Develops the Future: Committed to personal and professional growth and supports colleagues on their journey.
